The « Union des Grands Fiefs de Brem »

Founded in 2008 with five winegrowers and one sommelier from Brem sur mer, the “Union des Grands Fiefs de Brem” wants to put Brem sur mer in the light. Bringing lovers of Dyonisos fruit together and mostly fascinated by their craft of winegrower, they are five vineyards engaged in a continuing progression about the quality of their wines.
These five winegrowers have involved themselves toward a reasoned production, respectful of the environment and customers. Notes down Thierry Michon, one of these five winegrowers takes part to the bio-dynamic cultivation since 1993.

The Charter

Since 2008 a charter engages every partner to respect at the minimum :
- A production limited around 40 hl/ha
- Grass growing in vines permitting the development of a microbic fauna, the airing of the ground, the harnessing of alluvia, better waterproof qualities of grounds ...
- The ploughing of grounds (for a cultivation in bio-dynamic)
- A drastic control of pesticides use
- A grape harvest by hand at perfect maturity
- The use of indigenous yeast
- The opening to people of vineyards and cellars, with opportunity of tasting
